A reverse osmosis (RO) water filter system is a common water treatment technology used to remove impurities such as dissolved solids, particles, and bacteria from water.  <\/p>\n

A reverse osmosis water filter system typically consists of pre-filters, a reverse osmosis membrane, a pressure vessel, a storage tank, and post-filters.  <\/p>\n

Here's how it works:<\/p>\n

1.   First, water passes through pre-filters to remove larger particles and suspended solids.<\/p>\n

2.   Then, the water is pressurized and forced through a reverse osmosis membrane, which has very small pores that allow only water molecules to pass through while blocking impurities like dissolved solids and bacteria.<\/p>\n

3.   The permeate (pure water) is separated from the impurities, and the waste water, containing the rejected impurities, is flushed away through a separate drain line.<\/p>\n

4.   The purified water is stored in a storage tank and can be accessed when needed.  <\/p>\n
