4040 Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Element — thin-film composite (TFC) polyamide, 4” × 40” size, compatible with standard 4040 pressure vessels. Designed for brackish water, low-energy and fouling-resistant duties in commercial and light-industrial RO systems. Typical nominal salt rejection ≥ 99% with permeate flows in the 2,000–2,800 GPD range under standard test conditions.

The STARK 4040 RO membrane uses a high-selectivity TFC polyamide layer to reject dissolved salts, silica and organics. It fits any standard 4040 housing, making it an easy retrofit for most commercial RO skids. Options include brackish-water high rejection, low-energy (LE) for reduced operating pressure, and fouling-resistant (FR) designs for challenging feeds.

  • Stable permeate quality: nominal rejection ≥ 99% on NaCl at 25 °C; smooth surface polyamide for consistent performance.
  • Energy flexibility: standard BW elements run ~150–225 psi; LE options target lower pressure at similar flux.
  • Serviceability: fits common 4040 vessels; EPDM brine seal; standard 3/4” interconnector ID.
  • Designed for pretreatment trains: pair with 20 µm → 5 µm cartridges, carbon/anti-scalant, and UF/clarification as needed to control SDI and biofouling.
