Stainless Steel Mechanical Filter Housing – Multimedia Sand & Carbon Vessel
Stark Mechanical Filter Housing (STK1 Series) is an industrial-grade vessel designed for external face piping systems. Constructed from heavy-duty SUS304/316L (up to 4.0mm thick), it features side flange ports (DN25-DN125) and is ideal for large-scale multimedia, sand, and activated carbon filtration.
Product Description
Designed for Industrial Face Piping & Valve Manifolds.
Unlike standard tanks with top-mounted control heads, the Stark STK1 Mechanical Filter is engineered for high-flow industrial applications. It features standard Side Flange Ports (Inlet/Outlet), allowing engineers to install external butterfly valve manifolds. This design offers lower pressure drop, higher flow rates, and easier integration into PLC-controlled automation systems.
Versatile Media Compatibility: Whether used as a Multimedia Filter (removing turbidity), an Activated Carbon Filter (removing chlorine/organics), or a Water Softener, the internal distribution system is optimized for efficient backwashing and uniform flow.
Note: This product is the Filter Vessel Only. External piping, valve manifolds, and filter media are sold separately or can be customized upon request.
Media Filling Guide & Nozzle Layout:
Correct media volume is key to performance. For a calculator showing the exact kg/L of Quartz Sand, Activated Carbon, or Resin needed for each tank size, please reference the technical data at our manufacturing division:

Applicable Industry
- Pre-Treatment for RO Systems:
Serves as the primary Multimedia Filter (MMF) or Carbon Filter (ACF) to protect Reverse Osmosis membranes from suspended solids and chlorine. - Cooling Water Side-Stream:
High-flow filtration to remove particulate matter from cooling tower loops, maintaining heat exchanger efficiency. - Industrial Wastewater:
Used for tertiary treatment (depth filtration) or activated carbon adsorption of organic pollutants before final discharge.
Advantage One
Ready for External Valve Manifolds
Designed for industrial scalability, the STK1 Mechanical Filter features Side Flange Connections (DN25-DN125) instead of a simple top opening. This allows for the installation of external face piping with butterfly or diaphragm valves, enabling high flow rates and easy integration into automated PLC control systems.Advantage TWO
Heavy-Duty Vessel Construction
Built to withstand the rigors of frequent backwashing, our housings feature a wall thickness of up to 4.0mm (for larger models). This heavy-duty construction minimizes vessel expansion and contraction fatigue, offering a significantly longer service life compared to standard FRP or thin-wall metal tanks.Related Products
