Carbon Steel Mixed Bed Ion Exchanger – Rubber Lined Demineralization Vessel
Stark Carbon Steel Mixed Bed (STK2 Series) is a cost-effective industrial demineralizer. Engineered with a 3-5mm internal Rubber Lining to withstand acid/alkali regeneration, it features dual sight glasses for precise resin monitoring and separation control.
Product Description
Economical Choice for Large-Scale Demineralization.
For large power plants and chemical facilities, the Stark STK2 Carbon Steel Series offers the same high-purity water performance (15-18 MΩ·cm) as stainless steel models but at a significantly lower capital cost.
Heavy-Duty Rubber Lining:
Since mixed bed regeneration involves harsh chemicals (Hydrochloric Acid & Sodium Hydroxide), standard carbon steel would corrode rapidly. Our vessels feature a vulcanized Natural Rubber Lining (3mm-5mm). This layer provides an impermeable barrier against chemical attack and abrasion from resin beads.
Lining Spark Test & Dimensions:
We ensure zero pinholes in our lining via 100% Spark Testing. For detailed lining specifications, sight glass elevation drawings, and resin filling guides, please reference the technical data at our manufacturing division:

Applicable Industry
- Thermal Power Plants:
Standard equipment for Boiler Feed Water demineralization. The rubber-lined carbon steel construction offers the perfect balance of cost and performance. - Chemical Processing:
Provides process water for chemical mixing. The lining ensures no iron contamination leaches from the steel tank into the process stream. - Metal Finishing:
Used for recycling rinse water in electroplating lines. The rubber lining provides excellent electrical insulation and corrosion resistance.
Advantage One
Rubber Lining for Chemical Resistance
To replace expensive stainless steel, we use a Heavy-Duty Rubber Lining bonded to the carbon steel shell. This lining is impervious to the Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) and Caustic Soda (NaOH) used in regeneration, preventing corrosion and extending the vessel’s lifespan to 10+ years.Advantage TWO
Visual Operation (Dual Sight Glasses)
Despite being a carbon steel vessel, visibility is not compromised. The STK2 series includes Upper and Lower Sight Glasses. These windows allow operators to observe resin expansion during backwash and clearly identify the separation line between Anion and Cation resins, ensuring optimal regeneration.Related Products
