Stainless Steel Media Filter Tank – FRP Replacement Series (Skirt Base)

Stark Stainless Steel Media Filter Tank (FRP Replacement Series) features a robust skirt base and standard 2.5″/4″ top openings. Designed to replace aging fiberglass vessels, it offers superior UV resistance and hygiene for water softening, sand, and carbon filtration systems.

Product Description

The Durable Upgrade to FRP Vessels.

Traditional Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) tanks degrade over time, especially under UV exposure, leading to brittleness and fiber shedding. The Stark Stainless Steel Media Tank solves this by offering a permanent, sanitary solution made from SUS304/316L. The elegant Skirt Base design provides superior stability and aesthetics compared to tripod bases.

Universal Compatibility: Engineered with standard diameter dimensions and threaded top openings (2.5″ NPSM or 4″ UN), these tanks are directly compatible with market-standard automatic control valves (such as Runxin, Clack, or Fleck), allowing for a seamless “Plug & Play” upgrade.

Applicable Industry

  • Food & Beverage Pre-treatment:
Stainless steel prevents bacterial growth and is easy to sanitize, meeting strict hygiene standards where FRP vessels fall short.
  • Commercial Water Softening:
Ideal for hotels, laundries, and boiler feed systems requiring a durable, professional-grade softener tank.
  • Outdoor Filtration Systems:
Unlike FRP which can crack under long-term sun exposure, stainless steel is immune to UV damage, making it perfect for outdoor installations.

Advantage One

Superior Durability & Hygiene

While FRP tanks are cost-effective, they are prone to aging and cannot be steam sterilized. Our Stainless Steel tanks offer a 5x longer lifespan.Made from polished SUS304 or 316L, they eliminate the risk of fiber shedding into your water and provide a sanitary surface that inhibits bacterial colonization.

Advantage TWO

Standard “FRP-Match” Dimensions

Upgrading doesn’t mean re-engineering. We designed these tanks with the exact top openings (2.5″ NPSM / 4″ UN) as standard FRP vessels. This means you can keep your existing control valves and piping, simply swapping out the tank for a more durable stainless steel upgrade.
