5 Micron 20 Inch PP Filter (Melt-Blown Sediment) | STARK

5 micron 20 inch pp filter from STARK removes rust, sand and silt before RO membranes or POE systems. Melt-blown polypropylene with gradient-depth structure delivers high dirt-holding capacity and stable flow; fits standard 2.5″ × 20″ housings.

Product Description

This melt-blown polypropylene cartridge uses a graded-density process: fibers are denser toward the core and more open at the outer layer, so larger particles are captured first and finer particles inside. The result is higher dirt-holding capacity, lower pressure drop and longer service life compared with single-density filters. This 5 micron 20 inch pp filter uses graded-density melt-blown media to capture coarse-to-fine particles with lower initial pressure drop.

When staged with carbon and RO, a 5 micron 20 inch pp filter protects downstream elements and extends service intervals.

It is commonly installed as a pre-filter for reverse osmosis, whole-house systems and industrial process lines to protect downstream carbon filters, softeners and RO membranes. The 5 µm nominal rating is a balanced choice for general sediment control and turbidity reduction; other ratings are available to match feed quality and target protection.

  • 100% polypropylene media — no binders, adhesives or additives
  • Low fiber release and chemical compatibility across typical pH ranges
  • Double open end (DOE) standard; fits most 2.5″ x 20″ housings
  • Recommended change-out at ΔP ≈ 0.1 MPa (≈15 psi) or by outlet turbidity
